Her Last Song

It’s no secret now, everyone knows
It’s my shoulder the night uses to cry,
My bedroom with six hundred windows,
My feet where the truth comes to die.

My pillow where the moon can’t stop weeping,
While the tide washes the prints in the sand,
Those eyes that seek out new meaning,
Your scarred, broken soul in my hands.

This pulse that’s been chained to your sorrow,
Dandelions amidst lilies of snow,
Someday I will see through your disguise,
Someday pick my name from your lies.

Till then, I’ll hide my soul in your scrapbook,
With the photographs there and the moss,
And I’ll yield to the flood of your innocence,
With my cheap guitar and my cross.

And you may carry me down to the darkness,
Wipe my slate with a flick of your wrist.
Take this verse, this accursed harness–
It’s yours now; it’s all that there is.

So, how did you find the said poem I found? Well, I guess for me it is somehow one of the great poem I’ve meet so far!… Hope you guys will be inspired to start your day right after reading this poem!… Have a great day everyone!

I wrote poems actually! But I’m not that really a certified poetic person. I just make what comes out to my mind and what I feel. Here is some guidelines which I think might be useful for you too…

NOTE: This is just my guidelines. You can adopt it or not.

1. Think of your subject. Absolutely! ‘Cause it is were your bases came from to go further on making your poem.
2. Be creative. In the sense of rhyming the both ends of the poems. This really helps to make your poem interesting.
3. Use understandable words. Definitely! Don’t use words that you only understand it. I mean your readers will not understand it directly.
4. Accept Criticism. Let your work be criticized by your readers and don’t be offended ’cause it is were you will learn.
5. Learn from experience. After your work is being criticized learn from it. Spend time to make your poem ’cause creating quality poems is not easy it takes time, effort, and knowledge to do it.

Eternity

He could remember the moment,
He had never felt so nervous,
As the pianist delicately ran his fingers along the piano,
His eyes followed down the lush red carpet,
He could see the veil slowly falling upon her face,
She looked so beautiful even angelic,
Heart quickening in pace,
He met her gaze,
Her warm brown eyes glowed in the candle light,
He had seen her face in so many ways except on this night,
Feeling euphoric knowing that she was his,
That he was hers,
His eyes were misty as if strayed into a dream,
Words were spoken ‘till death do you part’,
As he watched her mouth whisper ‘I do.’
It was over in a moment but they were bound for eternity,
As he slowly kissed her gentle lips,
He knew this was it.

Take a giant step in the right romantic direction
Before, you turned into the most delightful person
Raging about the revelations of demented ideals
Losing focus on what eternity has laid before you
Destined to hide underneath the shielding tongues
Not what you’ve been accustomed to, it’s apparent

Slightly deface the meaning of your loving partner
Ripping into the seams of post-rapture stages
Waltz into your own selfishness, gallop to freedom
Not realizing that it truly takes two to tango
Shattering your heart, for you’ve lost your “one”
Picking up the pieces, fate overturns your break

Coral hues attracted your once-bewildered mind
Not that they’ve been appreciated once before
Drifting into the cloudless dreams you’ve yearned
Seldom your thoughts have vanished into thin air
Nothing like missing out on a romantic loving heart
You’ve dropped a golden chance; romance and revelations

We were both a child
When I first knew you.
You were grade 5 then,
Were I am at grade 6.

I keep asking my friend
To help me know about your name.
He keep telling me
Knowing about it is wasn’t just a game.

I find some other way to know about it,
Though I don’t know exactly how to do it.
I keep on hoping that you’ll notice me,
But never those times you gave your attention to me.

When I was at 1st year
I started courting you.
Sending you letter,
Though you didn’t reply me too.

All I wanted that moment,
Is you notice me.
Then, here it comes,
God granted it to me.

But the sad thing about it,
Your Mom confronted my granny.
Telling her that I have to stop courting you.
Though its against my HEART but still I follow,
‘Cause I wanted her to know,
That I’m sincere about you.

Years had passed,
Still my LOVE for you is pure.
Decade had gone through,
Still your in my HEART.

Been to relationships for many times,
But never my HEART dare to forget you.
I don’t know why as it keep telling me
That it was not a lie.

I know that through that time I became so shy,
I never dare in person just to say “Hi”.
All I do is let you know what I feel,
But never I dare taking the deal.

Until such time you busted me up,
I can’t remember anymore for how many times,
But here I am again,
Begging to “WIN YOUR HEART”.
