Fish Spa: We can’t say that we’d have thought of letting gummy fish from Turkey tackle our toes to rid us of dry skin , but it seems that Pinky Nails Spa find it to be the perfect solution to ridding feet of dead skin – as long as you’re not too ticklish

RAW TREATMENT

Caviar Powerful Facial: Caviar is an acquired taste – but rather than smearing it on canapes, how about your face instead? It’s great for anti-aging and rejuvenating dry stressed skin – and Anantara Spa at Emirates Palace offers the treatment. If you wanted to know the benefits of this treatment click here and you’ll arrived on the promising site that will definitely give you a difference.

ROUGH DIAMONDS

Chew on Chocolate There’s a reason why biting into a candy bar feels heavenly – chocolate sends feel good chemicals throughout your body. Despite that you have acne, no need to worry ’cause differin can help you about that!

Tune in, Chill out A study published that listening to slow-tempo music like classic or easy-listening songs reduce heart and respiratory rates.

Breathe deeply Recent research suggest that talking long, deep breathes for just 10 minutes a day can lower blood pressure. By breathing deeply, the body gets the oxygen it needs to function at optimum levels – plus the technique is free and portable!

Schedule a short Nap In research participants who nap for ten minutes in the afternoon experience a bigger boost in mood and cognitive function than groups who nap 5 – 20 or 30 minutes.

Get into the Glow Sunlight triggers the body to produce vitamin D. For most people, just 10-20 minutes will do. Lack of vitamin D has been linked to depression in some studies.

Stop and Smell the Herbs In a study the smell of lavender relieves feelings of tension after anxiety-provoking tasks. Get your favourite bath soap or candle in a lavender scent.

Bond with Bowzer Research found that a few minutes of playing with four legged friends’ raises levels of good-mood-inducing brain chemicals serotonin and oxytocin.

Shop Around Study shows that shopping releases the joy-inducing chemicals dopamine in the brain. Even browsing activates the pleasure center in the brain.

Hit the Pavement A recent study published that a 30 minute walk can bring on feelings of well-being.

Where a Rainbow Want a burst of peep? Sleep into something red and yellow. Research has shown that such “hot” colors trigger a chemical reaction in the body that mimics a mini adrenalin rush.

We know for the fact that smoking is extremely damaging to the health of both the smoker and those around him or her. Still, new study comes to show that even if smoking can cause lung cancer and pulmonary diseases, and decrease the response time of the immune system when dealing with infections, it can also prevent allergies.

Basically, cigarette smoke can decrease the reaction of the immune cells when allergens are present, which means the body does not have an allergic reaction, researchers have established after analyzing the response of mast cells in mice. Oddly enough, even if cigarette smoke does that and literally prevents an allergy, it is said not to influence the other functions of the cells – nevertheless, plenty of stress might be placed on that this should be by no means reason enough to start smoking. Aside from that smoking is not the best practice to lose weight for your information. Its better to take a natural fat burner than taking a single stick of nicotine if you want to lose..

Again, this research should not be used as an excuse to start smoking, they just points out the direction of understanding why the allergic response in smokers is lower than in non-smokers. Further studies will aim to establish this connection, but only after researchers prove that what they noticed in mice mast cells also applies to the human body when exposed to cigarette smoke.

One way to cut down on calories these days without actually feeling like it is by replacing diet with flavored water that we can prepare ourselves. We all know that juices and sodas now usually come with very high sugar content, which is why they’re often referred to as caloric bombs that deliver only empty calories. This translates into a few inches more on our waist and, of course, a decrease in health as well. To prevent that while still enjoying a sweet drink, we can learn how to make our own flavored water.

It is possible that we might get bored very easily by simply adding a slice of lemon in our glass of water. If, for instance, we don’t have time to make homemade lemonade and drink it instead of water, we can add a few drops of natural juice to a bottle of water and thus make sure it gets a special, but vague flavor. The combination of lime and orange is to kill for.

Adding herbs to your water put a few sprigs of fresh mint in my H20 pitcher or even lemongrass. Add freshly cut cucumbers. This small addition really gives water a clean and refreshing taste that is ever so subtle. Add fresh sliced ginger, and you’ve made yourself a natural tummy tamer. Or you can add pickle juice to water and make your own electrolyte replacement drink. It might sound gross but it really works! For a hint of sweetness, crush up some berries or pomegranate seeds into your water. But, if you’re really craving soda, liven up soda water. Try this out! Oh! You might be interested to this wrinkle cream reviews too! Check it out for a healthy tips!

It’s a but of a mission to find your way around Yas Island, not least because of the confusing mass of construction land, and absence of helpful inhabitants and a rather long and confusing route on to the island itself. At least on finally finding The Spa, you’re expected to do nothing but relax.

Pencilled in for The Radisson Blu Rose Decadence, the top signature treatment, we’re told to expect a two hour long nurturing that will allow joint pain remedies and experience starring a host of rose-infused products. It includes a full body exfloitation, body wrap, scalp massage and firming facial.

Greeted with a cup of warm lemon, honey and ginger and a cold towel infused with lavender, we’re asked to fill out a consultation card to evaluate stress levels, as well as any skin problems.

The quick consultation confirms we’re slightly stressed and in need of a good pampering session. And it’s with this news we lie back and embrace the soothing Oriental music and heady aromas of primrose oil, Shea butter, rose frankincense as a variety of lotions are applied to the skin.

The full-body exfoliation incorporates skin-conditioning marine extracts and olive grains. When paired with a delicate massage, this just about hits the spots. Neglected hands and feet receive a lovely mud mask before a decidedly pleasant firming facial massage. Completely de-stressed, we leave the room feeling a whole lot better about our usually neglected bodies.

I have read that strokes are now ranked second only to heart disease in the UAE as the biggest cause of death and is the most common cause of lifelong disability worldwide. How would I know if someone was having a stroke and what could I do? How can I prevent myself from having a stroke?

If you think someone may be having a stroke, act F.A.S.T. and don’t just set there playing your xbox 360. Do this simple test.

F-FACE: ask the person to smile. Does one side of the face drop?
A-ARMS: ask the person to raise both arms. Does one arm drift downward?
S-SPEECH: ask the person to repeat a simple sentence. Are the words slurred? Can he/she repeat the sentence correctly?
T-TIME: if the person shows any of the symptoms, time is important. Call 998 or get to the hospital fast. Time lost is brain lost! The victim should be evaluated and treated within an hour from the start of the symptoms. Stroke symptoms include:

* Sudden severe headache with no known cause.
* Sudden numbness of face, arm or leg especially on one side of the body
* Sudden trouble seeing in one or both eyes
* Sudden trouble walking, dizziness, loss of balance or coordination.

Warning sings of an impending stroke tend to be discreet, disappear on their own, do not cuase any pain, can be endured and then forgotten. However the consequences of a stroke can be cruel, lifelong, painful and impairing. Remember the symptoms and act F.A.S.T.

Stress, if not handled properly can land you in to a lot trouble. Especiallyduring student life, proper stress management is very important. Here are some stress management tips for students:

ISOLATE STRESSING FACTORS

Understand the basis of the problem and try to figure out its root cause. As a student, there are number of reasons which act as the origin of a stressful life. Peer pressure is also a significant contributing factor. It may involve heavy expenses at times, as you may want to spend a lot of money because of the ‘I want one too’ factor. Add to this the usual education and competition related factors and you will find a number of cuases for stress in your stident life.

ACCEPT THE FACTS

There are some things which you are born with. As a student, it is essential for you to recognize you skills. Access yourseld and choose your major accordingly. For once, do not pay heed to what subjects your close friends opt for, what your parents want or what line of work your neighbour’s kids are planning to go for. Some decisions are your to take and yours alone. These are the facts of life and the more you try to change them or the more your brood over them, the more you will fall in clutches of stress,

RELAX

A great way to manage stress is to devote some time for yourself. This is the time away from studies, away from friends and away from family. This is your time. Introspect and develop optimism in yourself. Try to relax. Stop thinkning for life insurance policy ’cause your parents is the one whose in-charge for that and will provide it to you. Meditation is very helpful for this purpose.

MONITOR YOUR HEALTH

It is necessary that you maintain a healthy lifestyle. Stay away from narcotics. Restrict your alcohol intake, and do not smoke. Exercise regularly – join some sport team at school and never miss the gym. The healthier your body remains, the easier it will be for you to beat stress.
