Dir Albert Hughes and Alen Hughes, starring Denzel Washington, Gary Oldman, Mila Kunis.

In a not too distant future, the aftermath of war has left behind a desolate wasteland, home to gangs, thieves and a complete lack of law and civilization. (It seems moviemakers are by nature pessimists: when was the last time you saw a cheerful film about the future?)

Lone traveller Eli has become a warrior through necessitry, but not seeks peace. For 30 years he has guarded his hope for the future losely. He has a destiny, and he has power. Only one other person understands the power that Eli holds – and is determined to own it. But Eli is unwilling to let anyone or anything get in the way of his mission to rescue a savaged humanity.

There’s been no shortage of post-apocalyptic genre films in recent months; but actually this is an original and fresh tale, blending faith, hints of the supernatural and some macho fighting. And even if there is a rather bizarre twist at the end, it is truly gripping. This movie is a must see and interesting! So, check for yourself! Okay! That’s it for now ’cause I still have to check this prenatal vitamins I’ve founf earlier for my Filipina friend here in UAE. She was aksing it from me several days back. Hopefully this one will do.
