questions.jpgLife here in Abu Dhabi is quite so fast! I never imagine that I was here already for 7 months. It was still very fresh in my mind the first time I step the Abu Dhabi airport with my Filipino colleague Argie. We were both anxious what will we do if there’s nobody will fitch us there. Were exchanging ideas what to do ’cause even if we will took a taxi we still don’t know where to go and thanks God ’cause right before we reach the edge of the passengers way somebody approached and asked us if we were the two guys who came from Philippines. Right after he asked us, I replied him, “yes”. After that conversation he guide us through his used car that was parked in the parking area.

At first, my impression to the place is good but I was half shocked on their weather ’cause the wind is so hot and I really feel hot and that was around 1 am in the morning when we exactly took off from the airport down to the city. I asked the guy who fitch us why is it that its so hot? He just replied me casually that its summer here. I was surprised ’cause I never though that summer here is so much hotter than my beloved country Philippines. Well, I won’t compromise ’cause its obvious that this is a desert place.

One thing too that I observed as we travel going down to the city, I’ve seen several used cars that was parked in several parking areas. I was really amazed ’cause it was my first time to see batches of cars, several car colors, models, and luxury one. Then, I realized that this place is abundant of resources where every citizens can benefit from it. In fact, right after the working hours, my Aunt called me up to meet her at the office and go with her to their house where I was able to see their second hand car they both a couple of years ago.

Nevertheless, after 7 months of working here in Abu Dhabi I came to find out that life is pretty much different to the life I used to live back home. And work compensation here is quite so far from my country may be because their economy is higher than Philippines. Well, I guess every places has its differences!
