Travel Destination: Taoist Temple, Cebu City, Philippines…
Posted by wilson on February 2nd, 2009Located at Beverly Hills, Cebu City. This temple preserves the teachings of Lao-Tse, the 600 B.C. Chinese philosopher. Everyday people climb its 99 steps to light joss sticks and have their fortune read.

A towering, multi-tiered, multi-hued attraction accessible by three separate winding routes. Attractions here consist of huge, colorful dragon, a replica of the Great Wall of China, spacious balconies offering scenic views, souvenir shops, mini library with instructional materials, and dozens of escalating steps.

The Taoist Temple sits at the very heart of one of Cebu’s high-end subdivisions, Beverly Hills. The Taoist Temple is presently one of the major tourist destinations in Cebu City. As a matter of fact, a Cebu Tour is not complete without a quick visit to the taoist temple. But keep in mind that the Taoist Temple is set to have a 100th steps before you’ll reach the top. So if you want a taste of Cebu’s Chinese culture, visit the Taoist Temple in Beverly Hills, Lahug. Other than that, there were great things to enjoy at Cebu City, Philippines.
