I guess, everyone of us here is already aware about Technorati and its usage for every blogs throughout the world wide web. Well, to define the word ” TECHNORATI ” it is the recognized authority on what’s happening on the World Live Web, right now. The Live Web is the dynamic and always-updating portion of the Web. They search, surface, and organize blogs and the other forms of independent, user-generated content (photos, videos, voting, etc.) increasingly referred to as “citizen media.” - Courtesy of TECHNORATI.
Just a couple of weeks ago I got a common issue on claiming my technorati rating for this blog. Actually, I already claim my technorati last year for this blog I got but I was just really confused why is it that the authority rating is not updating! So, what I do is I deleted it without any anticipation that technorati is one of the substantial ranking that every blog should have. Aside from that, it came to my attention that some other blog advertising companies are requiring technorati ratings to ensure that the blogs that are submitted and approved by them are well maintained, updated and has a quality articles. After knowing such, I contacted technorati staff to ask for help in claiming back my technorati authority ’cause when I used to login in my account it always prompts me this message that “There was a problem claiming your blog”… I keep on trying to see if it works but to my surprise I won’t really claim it again. So, I decided to contact them and thanks God I had now it now already though its just too bad to think that my authority is pretty much low. Maybe I just need to work on to increase my rating.

Hi, I have the same problem when I change my domain name from public - blogspot to http://www.detector-pro.com.
I lose my technorati authority when I claim my blog again with new domain name. But, technorati obvious have good help desk staff and they fix my problem after I contact them.
